your book is not a diversity checkbox.

yinfluence publicity is an independent, author-first publicity agency founded by author and literary advocate Emma Pei Yin. Based in Australia and working across local and international markets, yinfluence was created to give PoC, queer and/ or neurodivergent authors the strategic, thoughtful publicity support they have too often been denied by the traditional publishing industry.

yinfluence develops personalised campaigns spanning media, events, bookseller outreach, community partnerships, influencer engagement and long-term author positioning. Rather than forcing every book through the same publicity formula, Emma works closely with each author to understand their story, audience and ambitions—building campaigns that feel genuine to both the writer and their work.

At its heart, yinfluence is grounded in the belief that publicity should not be reserved for the authors an industry has already decided are commercially safe or culturally familiar. Publishing has long positioned itself as the gatekeeper: determining whose stories are acquired, promoted, reviewed, stocked and ultimately allowed to find an audience. yinfluence exists to help authors move beyond those gates.

we have worked with:

‘‘Welcome Home is my debut book, and I cannot imagine launching it with anyone but Emma. From our first conversations, she saw and understood what the book was carrying. yinfluence is doing something this industry has needed for a LONG time: uplifting authors of colour with strategic care, organisational precision, and reader experiences that are unforgettable. Top-notch at every turn.’’

Dr. Bee Lim, Clinical Psychologist, and author of Welcome Home: Healing Trauma & Reclaiming Wholeness.

‘‘Emma played a pivotal role in elevating my publicity. Her strategic insight, calm guidance, and genuine care helped me show up with clarity and confidence. I’m deeply grateful for her support.’’
